I Have An Awful Lot To Live For

Happy Friday!
On Friday of every week, I am going to share an inspirational video.

Lou Gehrig's legacy is one of courage and inspiration.
One of my favorite movies, "Pride of the Yankees", captures the life of the Baseball Legend, Lou Gehrig. He passed away from an incurable fatal neuromuscular disease (Lou Gehrig's Disease),
 two weeks before his 38th birthday.

This is video of the real Lou Gehrig, right after his diagnosis.

The most memorable line, 01:04.

If you are familiar with the book of Job, you understand Job and Lou are a lot alike.
Job too, endured and stayed extremely faithful through difficult trials.
Job 1:21 "....The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.”

Let us remember, even in the valley, we 'have an awful lot to live for' and continue to praise God.
It is apparent, that we tend to focus on what has been taken away.
If we adjust the mind to do the opposite, we'll be capable of outmatching any tribulation!

James 1:12
 "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him."
